The Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony

More than a drink — the Ethiopian coffee ceremony is a sacred tradition of community, hospitality, and connection. We bring this authentic experience to Dayton.

    Roasting — Fresh green coffee beans are roasted over charcoal right in front of you

    Grinding — The roasted beans are ground by hand using a traditional mortar and pestle

    Brewing — Coffee is brewed in a clay jebena pot over an open flame with incense burning

    Serving — Poured into small traditional cups — three rounds, each with meaning
